A new, softer surface from the makers of colourfix pastel papers, colourfix suede is an archival-quality surface suitable for use with pastels, charcoal, pencils, inks, acrylics, gouache, watercolours, silverpoint, and even oil paints.
The surface of Colourfix Suede is not as abrasive as regular Colourfix, and was partly developed in conjunction with the manufacturers of PanPastel™ as an ideal ground for their products – one that can still hold multiple layers of pastel but in a more gentle
fashion and without causing excessive damage to the range of PanPastels and Sofft™ Tools (not to mention fingertips, for those who like to blend with them).
Colourfix Suede is heavier in weight than the original 300gsm product. The base paper is a 500gsm hot press watercolour paper that provides quite a rigid support for painting. To further distinguish it from original Colourfix, the print goes right to the edge without white borders.
